Overview
Work through the section that matches your symptom. If the problem remains, contact support with the gateway's label details and what you tried.
Cannot open the C-Bridge interface
- Confirm you are on the same local network as the gateway.
- Try the IP address instead of the hostname. Find it in your router's DHCP table.
- If using
http://cbridge-XXXX.local:3000, mDNS must be enabled on your computer. - Wait 2 minutes after a reboot, then retry.
- Clear the browser cache and try again.
Hostname does not resolve
- macOS and Linux normally resolve
.localnames by default. - On Windows, install Apple Bonjour or use the IP address.
- Across VLANs, mDNS usually does not cross the boundary. Use the IP address.
The IP address keeps changing
Ask IT for a DHCP reservation using the MAC address on the device label, or set a static IP. See Static IP Configuration.
Gateway shows Offline
- Check the Ethernet cable at both ends and try another cable or port.
- Confirm the switch or router is active.
- Confirm the network allows outbound TCP 443. See Firewall & IT Requirements.
- If using Wi-Fi, check signal strength at the install location.
Wi-Fi setup not working
- Connect to the
CBridge_Setup_XXXXnetwork. - Open
http://192.168.4.1, not the.localhostname. - After saving credentials, wait 2 minutes for the gateway to reboot and connect.
- Verify the SSID and password.
BACnet client cannot reach the gateway
- Confirm the gateway and BMS are on the same subnet, or that routing between them is set up.
- Confirm UDP 47808 is not blocked.
- Use a fixed address for the gateway.
