C-Bridge gateways connect to the building network and communicate with Casambi over Bluetooth. Hardware options and power requirements vary by model and revision.
Identify Your Gateway
Record the model, hardware revision, serial number, MAC address, and power rating from the device label before installation. Use the documentation supplied with that model for dimensions, ports, environmental limits, and power requirements.
The Indoor datasheet is available for reference. Check that it matches the model and revision on your unit.
Power and Network
- Use a manufacturer-approved power supply with the voltage, current, and connector specified for your unit.
- Use Ethernet for permanent installations where possible.
- Arrange addressing and network access with the site's IT team before commissioning.
- Keep power connected during software updates. Do not remove internal storage while the gateway is operating.
Wireless Placement
Place the gateway within reliable Bluetooth range of the Casambi network. Verify coverage at the proposed location before fixing it in place.
- Prefer a central ceiling or wall location with minimal obstructions.
- Avoid fully enclosed metal cabinets, electrical panels, large motors, and dense concrete barriers.
- Recheck discovery and device control after mounting.
Mounting
Use the bracket and mounting instructions supplied with your model. For the bracket shown in the Installation guide, align the device clips with the bracket and rotate clockwise until securely locked. Confirm the surface and fixings are suitable for the installation.
Status Indicators
Indicator colors and patterns vary by hardware revision. Check the supplied guide for your unit, then verify readiness by opening the local interface and checking network and Casambi status. A lit indicator alone does not confirm internet connectivity.
